1. About these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Platform. By creating an account, listing or buying a ticket to an event, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
These Terms constitute an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder. They are published in compliance with Rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
2. Who can use the Platform
You may use the Platform only if you can form a binding contract with us under applicable law.
- Minimum age — 13 years. Persons aged 13 to under 18 must have verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian (as required by Section 9 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). See our separate Children's Privacy Policy for how parental consent is captured.
- Capacity. You confirm that you have legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
- Banned regions. We do not knowingly serve users located in territories where our services are prohibited by Indian law (such as on a sanctions list).
3. The Platform's role
MeetGrow is a marketplace that allows event organisers ("Organisers") to publish event listings and sell tickets to consumers ("Customers"). Tickets are sold by the Organiser; the Company acts as an intermediary that:
- provides the technology platform;
- facilitates discovery, booking, and payment;
- collects the ticket price from the Customer on behalf of the Organiser through a licensed payment aggregator (Razorpay Software Private Limited or any other PA the Company may use from time to time); and
- settles the Organiser's share after deducting platform fees, taxes and applicable refunds.
The Organiser is the seller, host and primary service provider for each event. The Company is not the organiser of any event, does not own the venues, and does not warrant the quality, safety or any specific outcome of any event except as expressly set out in clause 12 (Hybrid Refund).
4. Accounts and access
- Customer accounts are created using a verified Indian mobile number and a one-time password (OTP) delivered via WhatsApp or SMS.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.
- We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or where required by law.
5. Bookings
When you click "Book", you make an offer to purchase the ticket(s). A booking is confirmed only when (a) payment has been successfully received and (b) we have sent a booking confirmation to the contact details on file.
- Tickets are personal to the named purchaser. Reselling, transferring, or onward distribution of a ticket without prior written consent from the Organiser is prohibited.
- Each ticket bears a unique QR code. The QR code is the entry credential. Loss, theft or unauthorised duplication is your responsibility.
- The Organiser may impose age, identity, dress-code, or behaviour requirements; these will be visible on the event page.
6. Pricing, platform fee, and taxes
- The price displayed on the event page is the all-inclusive ticket price. The Company does not charge a customer convenience fee.
- The Company charges no commission and no per-ticket fee on bookings. The full ticket revenue (less applicable payment-gateway fees) is settled to the Organiser.
- The Company's revenue is earned through optional subscription plans offered to Organisers, venues, and service providers. Subscription tiers, prices, billing cycles, and feature limits are published at /pricing and confirmed at checkout.
- Subscription billing: plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Razorpay. Upgrades are pro-rated; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the applicable rate (currently 18% under SAC 998596) is included in the displayed ticket price unless explicitly stated otherwise. Subscription plan prices are exclusive of 18% GST, which is added at checkout. GST invoices for both tickets and subscriptions are available in your account.
7. Refunds and cancellations
The full Refund & Cancellation Policy is at /legal/refund and is incorporated by reference. In summary:
- Customer-initiated cancellation: 7 or more days before the event = 100% refund of ticket price; 3 to 7 days before = 50%; less than 3 days = no refund.
- Organiser-initiated cancellation or event no-show: 100% refund to Customer. The Company processes the refund and recovers it from the Organiser's settlement.
- Force majeure cancellation: 100% refund of the ticket price (no platform fee is retained, as the Company does not charge commission on bookings).
- Razorpay processing fee: absorbed by the Company on customer refunds.
- Subscription refunds: subscriptions are pro-rated on upgrade and non-refundable on downgrade/cancellation for the current cycle; access continues until period end.
- Refunds are credited to the original payment method within 7-10 working days after refund approval.
8. Photography, recording and likeness
Some events may be filmed, photographed or live-streamed by the Organiser or its partners. Each event listing on the Platform displays a clear indicator stating whether or not the event will be recorded. By attending an event marked as "recorded", you grant the Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use your image and likeness in the context of the event's marketing.
9. User-generated content
If the Platform allows you to upload reviews, comments, photographs or other content ("User Content"), you grant the Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sub-licensable licence to host, display and distribute the User Content for the operation and promotion of the Platform. You represent that you own or have necessary rights to the User Content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
Note: public reviews and ratings are not enabled at the date these Terms come into force. This clause is included as a forward-compatibility provision.
10. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or to violate any third-party right;
- impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation;
- introduce malware, scrape, scan or load-test the Platform without prior written consent;
- bypass our security or rate-limiting mechanisms;
- resell tickets at a price greater than the face value, or offer tickets through unauthorised channels (touting);
- harass, threaten or abuse other users, Organisers, or Company staff;
- post content that is obscene, defamatory, infringes another's privacy, or otherwise violates the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
A fuller, illustrative list is in our Acceptable Use Policy.
11. Intellectual property
All software, design, trade marks, logos and content on the Platform (other than User Content and Organiser Content) are owned by or licensed to the Company. You receive only a limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Platform for its intended purpose.
If you believe content on the Platform infringes your intellectual property, please follow the procedure set out in our IP / Takedown Policy.
12. Hybrid refund — limited platform guarantee
Where an Organiser disappears, becomes insolvent, or otherwise fails to deliver an event for reasons other than force majeure, the Company will refund Customers from its own funds and recover the amount from the Organiser through future settlements and, if necessary, legal action. This is a goodwill guarantee and not a warranty of any specific event outcome.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- the Platform and any content on it are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied;
- the Company is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, lost profits, or loss of data;
- the Company's aggregate liability to any single Customer for any claim arising out of these Terms or the use of the Platform shall not exceed the lower of:
- three (3) times the total amount paid by the Customer for the booking giving rise to the claim; or
- INR 50,000.
- the annual aggregate liability of the Company to any single Customer across all claims in a calendar year shall not exceed INR 10,00,000.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable Indian law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019).
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Company, its directors, employees and agents from any claim, demand, loss or damage, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your violation of any law, or (c) your infringement of any third-party right.
15. Termination
You may close your account at any time from your profile or by writing to [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or where required by law. Outstanding payment obligations survive termination.
16. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, epidemics, acts of war, terrorism, riots, governmental orders, power or internet outages, or strikes. Refund consequences in such situations are governed by clause 7.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. All disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at New Delhi.
This forum-selection clause does not derogate from a Customer's statutory right under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 to file a complaint in the Consumer Commission having local jurisdiction over the Customer.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance by email and via an in-app banner. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The version history is available on request.
