This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains when and how refunds are issued for tickets bought on the MeetGrow platform operated by Visionxpress Media House Private Limited.
1. Who issues refunds
The Company collects ticket payments on behalf of Organisers through Razorpay. When a refund is approved, the Company initiates the refund to the original payment method. Where the refund cost falls on the Organiser, the amount is debited from the Organiser's next settlement.
2. Customer-initiated cancellation
You may cancel a confirmed booking from "My Bookings" in your account, subject to the following default refund grid (the Organiser may set a more lenient policy on the event page):
| When you cancel | Refund of ticket price |
|---|---|
| 7 or more days before event start | 100% |
| 3 days up to (but not including) 7 days | 50% |
| Less than 3 days | 0% |
Working days and weekends both count. The "event start" reference time is the start time displayed on the event page in Indian Standard Time.
3. Organiser-initiated cancellation
If the Organiser cancels, postpones beyond a reasonable window, or otherwise fails to deliver the event:
- You receive 100% refund of the ticket price.
- The Company processes the refund and recovers the amount from the Organiser's settlement.
- If the Organiser is unable to settle the debit, the Company will absorb the cost and pursue recovery through legal channels.
4. Force majeure cancellation
A "force majeure" event includes acts of God, natural disasters, epidemics, governmental orders, riots, or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Organiser that make the event impossible to hold.
In a force majeure cancellation:
- You receive a full refund of the ticket price. The Company does not charge commission on bookings, so no platform fee is retained.
- The Razorpay payment-gateway processing fee is absorbed by the Company (see Section 5).
5. Razorpay processing fee
For all customer-side refunds (Sections 2, 3 and 4), the payment-gateway processing fee charged by Razorpay is absorbed by MeetGrow. You receive the full refund amount described above; the gateway fee is not deducted from your refund.
6. Non-refundable items
The following are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise:
- A no-show at the event without prior cancellation.
- Tickets that have been used (QR code scanned and admission granted).
- Add-ons explicitly marked non-refundable on the event page (e.g., merchandise bundles).
7. How refunds are processed
- Refunds are credited to the original payment method (UPI, card, net-banking, wallet).
- Processing time: typically 7–10 working days after refund approval. Razorpay and your bank may take additional time depending on the payment method.
- You will receive an email and SMS confirmation when the refund is initiated, with a Razorpay reference number.
8. Disputes
If you believe a refund has been incorrectly handled:
- Reach out to [email protected] within 30 days of the booking date.
- If the support team's response is unsatisfactory, escalate to our Grievance Officer at [email protected]. See the Grievance Redressal Policy for timelines.
- You retain your statutory right to approach the Consumer Commission having local jurisdiction.
9. Special cases
- Bookings for events outside India (if introduced) — currency conversion losses are not refunded.
- Group bookings — cancellation tiers apply to the entire group ticket; partial cancellations may not be supported.
- Promo / discount codes — the actual amount paid (post-discount) is refunded; the promo value is not separately returned in cash.
